Herd of local people hits Melbourne’s streets to demand action from Labor on live exports

A new national survey commissioned by the World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA) has revealed 77% of Australians still think the live export industry is cruel, despite Governments recent claims that new reform will reduce the abuse of exported Australian animals. Live Export and the Labor Party: An Update on the Debate

Sadly, despite incredible recent community outrage over the live export industry and it putting our animals, our existing processing industry and Australia’s reputation at risk, the trade continues, with one of the largest shipments of cattle ever leaving Queensland this week. Also recently the Senate Inquiry into live exports has completed the public consultation process and we are awaiting the outcome.
